I am proud to say that we made it to WA!

Lt. John J Dunbar

If you know me well, then you know that one of my favorite movies is Dances With Wolves. We are in the part of SD where a good part of the movie was filmed. Thankfully, I have the soundtrack so I can feel the part and hopefully make a "good trade" at the next rest stop. We had the chance to see Cisco's grave but decided that 9 bucks a pop was to much to beat a dead horse!

St. Louis

Passing through St. Louis on our way to Seattle. Great memories here with my wife and Over the Rhine!

SEATTLE OR BUST!

10/10/11. I never thought that this day would ever get here. With a variety of different emotions, I say good goodbye to Franklin, TN and head west....way west, to the Pacific Northwest! I am so grateful to all of our friends and family who have prayed with and for us during this time as well as those who have helped out with the cost of this trip.

With Starbucks in hand, I am ready to start this adventure. With roughly 2500 miles in front of us, I am excited to start this road trip with my best friend who also happens to my Pop. Together, with my trusty sidekick Scout, we begin this long journey on I-65 heading out of town! (goodbye Batman building)

I will do my best to check in on here, Twitter, and Facebook throughout this road trip. If you are still interested in helping out with our $1.99 Paypal campaign, you can send it to tarheelfj40@gmail.com . Every little bit helps with the cost of fuel.

Thanks again for your support of my family and I and our adventure to Seattle! We could not have done this without you! Goodbye Franklin, TN, you have been a most excellent place to call home.

All packed up and ready to go...

Well, we did it. Many thanks to my Mom and Dad and my friend Mark for helping us get all of our house (for the most part) into our 16 ft Penske! Updates to follow.
